After5 Cancellation & Refund Policy

This page explains how cancellations, credits and transfers work in practice.

The legally binding conditions are contained in the After5 Terms and Conditions.
This page is a simplified operational explanation. In case of conflict, the Terms and Conditions prevail.


1. General Cancellation Policy

All bookings are final once a seat has been reserved.

Refunds are not issued unless required by applicable law.

If you cancel 72+ hours before your Table or Gathering:

You may:

  • receive a voucher (credit) equal to your booking value, or
  • transfer your booking to another available date (once)

No monetary refunds are provided.

If you cancel within 72 hours:

  • transfers are not possible
  • credits are not issued
  • refunds are not issued

2. Changing Your Date (Transfer Policy)

You may transfer your reservation once to another available date if requested at least 72 hours before the event.

Important conditions:

  • only one transfer is allowed per booking
  • after a transfer is used, no further changes can be made
  • transfer requests made within 72 hours cannot be accepted

3. No-Show & Last-Minute Cancellation Rules

Cancelling after the deadlines below or not attending counts as a no-show.

If you cancel after the deadlines below, or do not attend, it counts as a no-show.

Last-Minute Cancellation Deadlines:

  • 12 hours before the time of the gathering
  • Please update your group via the groupchat in app about your cancellation

No-Show Consequences:

Every no-show or last-minute cancellation counts as one strike.

  • 1 strike → results in a red flag and a 4-week restriction on your After5 account

During a restriction, you will not be able to book new gatherings. This applies to all members, including those on active 1-month, 3-month, or 6-month subscriptions. Subscription fees are not paused or refunded during the restriction period. 

We have a strict policy in place to keep the experience optimal for all our members.

Running Late?

If you will be more than 15 minutes late, please let your group know immediately in the chat via the app. 

 


4. Why We Use the 72-Hour Rule

After5 gatherings are intentionally small and curated.
We require 72 hours to:

  • fill open seats
  • maintain group balance
  • deliver the intended experience

For this reason, exceptions generally cannot be made, including illness or unexpected events, except where required by law.


5. Restaurant Service Disclaimer

Restaurants operate independently from After5.
Situations such as:

  • delayed seating
  • tables not ready on time
  • operational delays

are outside our control.

We may assist where possible but cannot guarantee resolution or compensation.


6. Liability During Events

After5 is not responsible for:

  • theft or loss of belongings
  • guest behavior or disturbances
  • incidents outside our direct organizational control

Participants remain responsible for their own belongings and conduct.


7. Food Allergy Responsibility

After5 is not responsible for allergic reactions.

Guests must:

  • inform the restaurant directly
  • confirm ingredients before consumption

8. Ticket Use, Transfers & Reselling

Bookings may only be used by the original participant unless explicitly permitted by After5.

Unauthorized resale, transfer, or sharing may result in cancellation without compensation.


9. Interaction Disclaimer

After5 is not responsible for interactions, communication, or activities that occur during or after meetings arranged through the platform.

Participation and continued interaction occur at your own risk and responsibility.
