What is After5?

After5 is a social discovery app designed to help women meet like-minded women, build meaningful friendships, and connect both online and in real life.

Whether you've just moved to a new city, are entering a new chapter of life, or simply want to expand your social circle, After5 makes finding your people easier.

How does After5 work?

After5 helps you discover women in your city who share similar interests, lifestyles, and experiences.

Here's how to get started:

1.Create your profile: Tell us a little about yourself.

2.Explore your Circles: Join communities based on your interests, career, or life stage.

3Discover women: Browse profiles and send Likes to women you'd love to connect with.

4.Start conversations: When you both Like each other, you can start chatting.

5.Meet in real life: Discover and join curated gatherings in your city.

6.Alike Matches: Receive curated 1-1 matches based on your profile.

Who can join After5?

After5 is a community designed for women, including LGBTQ+ women. We welcome women of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences who are looking to build meaningful friendships and connections.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone in our community.

Where is After5 available?

After5 currently connects women across multiple European cities, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven, London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Brussels.

Available Circles and gatherings may vary by city.

How can I download After5?

You can download the After5 app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can also access After5 through our website.

Circles & Discovering Members

What are Circles?

Circles are communities within After5 that bring together women with shared interests, professional backgrounds, or life experiences. 

From Women in Tech and Personal Development to Women in Their 30s and New in Town, Circles help you find women you have something in common with.

Can I join multiple Circles?

Absolutely! You can explore and join different Circles based on your interests, lifestyle, and what you're looking for on app.

How can I discover other members?

Open the After5 app, explore your Circles, and browse member profiles.

You can learn more about women in your city, discover shared interests, and take the first step toward connecting.

How does the Like feature work?

Found someone you'd love to get to know? Send her a Like!

If she Likes you back, it's a match, and you can start chatting directly in the app.

Can I message other members?

Yes! Once you and another member have mutually Liked each other, you can start a private conversation.

Do I need a subscription to explore profiles and send Likes?

No! You can discover members, explore Circles, send Likes, and connect through mutual Likes without a paid subscription.

Do I need to use my real photo?

Yes! To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, all members are required to use authentic, recent photos of themselves.

Using fake photos, photos of another person, misleading images, or images that do not accurately represent you is not permitted.

Accounts that violate these guidelines may be suspended or permanently deleted, at After5's discretion.

We reserve the right to review profiles and take appropriate action to protect the safety and authenticity of our community.

Gatherings & Real-Life Connections

What are After5 Gatherings?

Gatherings are curated, small-group meetups designed to help women connect naturally in real life. There is no host. 

From dinners and brunches to drinks and themed meetups, our gatherings bring together women with shared interests and experiences.

How many women attend a gathering?

Most After5 gatherings are designed for small groups of approximately 4–8 women, making it easier to have meaningful conversations and get to know each other.

How do I join a gathering?

Open the After5 app, explore the Gatherings section or check the upcoming gatherings within your Circles.

Select a gathering you're interested in, review the details, and book your spot.

Do I need a subscription to join gatherings?

An After5 membership gives you access to eligible subscriber gatherings. Selected gatherings may also be available with a one-time ticket.

You can explore upcoming gatherings in the app to see the available booking options.

Are food and drinks included?

Unless explicitly mentioned in the gathering details, food and drinks are not included. Members pay for their own orders directly at the venue.

What happens after I book a gathering?

You'll receive the gathering details and access to a group chat where you can connect with other participants before meeting in person.

What if I can't attend a gathering?

We understand that plans change!

Please cancel your booking at least 72 hours before the gathering to allow another member to take your spot.

Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to our cancellation policy.

What if only a few people attend?

Gathering attendance can vary, and we can't guarantee a specific number of participants. 

We encourage members to communicate in the group chat and update their attendance in advance. 

Alike – One-on-One Connections

What is Alike?

Alike is After5's personalized one-on-one introduction feature.

Instead of spending hours searching for the right person, Alike helps introduce you to another woman based on compatibility and shared interests. This is a subscription only introduction. 

How does Alike work?

With an active After5 subscription, you can receive one curated Alike introduction per month.

It's a more personalized way to discover someone you might genuinely connect with.

Is Alike included in my subscription?

Yes! Alike is a subscriber-exclusive feature included with an eligible active After5 membership.

Membership & Pricing

Is After5 free?

Yes! You can create a profile, explore Circles, discover other members, and connect through mutual Likes for free.

For additional experiences, including in-person gatherings and personalized Alike introductions, you can upgrade to an After5 membership.

How much does After5 cost?

We offer flexible subscription plans so you can choose what works best for you.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the applicable renewal price unless cancelled before renewal. Any introductory discounts apply only to the specified promotional term. 

For non-subscribers, retail price for gatherings & alike:

One time gathering pass: €29 

Alike Match: €15

What is included in an After5 subscription?

Your membership gives you access to additional ways to connect, including:

-Access to 3 gatherings in your city for free a month

-Personalized Alike introductions (one per month)

-Opportunities to meet women through curated small-group experiences

Specific gathering availability and membership benefits may vary.

Can I join a gathering without a subscription?

Selected gatherings may be available through a one-time ticket, priced at €29.

Check the gathering details in the app to see whether a one-time booking option is available.

Does my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. After5 subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

If you subscribed through a promotional offer, your renewal may be charged at the regular subscription price.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time through your After5 account.

Your cancellation will stop future renewals, while your membership remains active until the end of your current paid period.

Can I get a refund?

Subscription payments and confirmed gathering bookings are generally non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer rights and our Terms & Conditions.

One-Off bookings are not refundable, unless the booking gathering is cancelled by After5. 

Account, Safety & Support

How does After5 keep its community safe?

We want After5 to be a welcoming and respectful space.

We use profile information and verification measures to support community safety, and we expect all members to follow our community guidelines. 

Can I report another member?

Yes. If another member makes you uncomfortable or behaves inappropriately, please contact our support team so we can review the situation. You can also report the person on app.

How can I update my profile?

You can update your profile directly in the After5 app. We recommend keeping your information up to date to help other members get to know you.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Log into your After5 account through the app or website and navigate to your subscription settings.

From there, you can manage your membership and cancellation options.

How can I delete my account?

You can delete your account and all the data associated with it on the app.
