AFTER5 B.V. — TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective Date: 16 February 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, mobile application, memberships, matching services, events, community features, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by After5 B.V. (“After5”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, applying, purchasing a membership, requesting a match, joining a group, booking an activity, or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You will provide accurate information
  • You will only use the Services for lawful purposes

You are responsible for activity occurring under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.

After5 may refuse applications or remove accounts at its discretion in order to protect the safety and integrity of the community.

 


 

3. Nature of the Platform

After5 is a social introduction platform designed to help women build friendships and social connections both online and in real life.

After5 does not act as:

  • a dating agency
  • a supervised event organizer
  • a background-check provider
  • a security provider
  • a chaperone
  • an employer, agent, or representative of any user

We introduce people. We do not control behavior.

Users remain fully responsible for all decisions, communications, and meetings.

 


 

4. Acknowledgement of Social Environment

You understand that After5 connects individuals who were previously strangers.

Human interaction is inherently unpredictable. Users may have different personalities, expectations, communication styles, values, and social boundaries. Compatibility cannot be predicted and friendships may or may not form.

By participating in After5, you voluntarily choose to engage in a real-world social community environment.

 


 

PUBLIC PROFILE & DATA SHARING (After5)

5. Public Nature of Profiles and Information Visible to Other Users

By creating an account and using the After5 application (“the App”), operated by After5 B.V. (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you acknowledge and agree that After5 is a social networking and friendship platform in which profile visibility is a core and intentional feature of the service.

You expressly understand and consent that the following information you provide will be visible to other users of the After5 platform:

  • Profile photographs
  • First name or chosen display name
  • Date of birth (or displayed age range)
  • City and/or area location
  • Personal interests, hobbies, and preferences
  • Bio or personal description
  • Activity status within the App (e.g., last active, online status where applicable)
  • Messages exchanged within chats between you and other users
  • Any other information you voluntarily choose to share on your profile or within the App

You acknowledge that After5 does not provide private, hidden, or anonymous profiles, and that participation in the platform inherently involves sharing personal information with other users. By using After5, you accept the nature of this social environment and any risks associated with sharing personal data in a community-based application.

 


 

By actively choosing to use After5 Alike and agreeing to be connected via WhatsApp, you provide explicit consent for After5 B.V. to facilitate the exchange of your WhatsApp contact information with the selected user(s).

This means:

  • You voluntarily allow your WhatsApp number to be shared
  • You understand this occurs outside of the After5 platform
  • You take responsibility for interactions that occur on WhatsApp
  • After5 B.V. is not responsible for content or behavior occurring on WhatsApp after the connection is made

You may decline to use After5 Alike at any time by simply not opting in to the service.

 




6. Information That Will NOT Be Shared With Other Users

 

The following information is not visible to other users and is kept confidential by After5 B.V., unless you provide explicit consent or take a specific action that authorizes sharing:

  • Your email address
  • Your WhatsApp number
  • Your phone number (if provided during registration)

These details will never be displayed on your public profile and will not be shared with other users by default, except where you explicitly consent (for example, through After5 Alike or by joining a community event or group chat where contact-sharing is necessary for participation).

 


 

7A WhatsApp Sharing — “After5 Alike” Service and Chat Functionality Issues

You may choose to connect with other users via WhatsApp through our optional feature called After5 Alike.

By actively choosing to use After5 Alike and agreeing to be connected via WhatsApp, you provide explicit consent for After5 B.V. to facilitate the exchange of your WhatsApp contact information with the selected user(s) for the purpose of connecting you and enabling communication, including in circumstances where there are chat functionality issues on the App.

This means:

  • You voluntarily allow your WhatsApp number to be shared to connect you with your “Alike” via WhatsApp
  • You understand WhatsApp communication occurs outside of the After5 platform
  • You take responsibility for interactions that occur on WhatsApp
  • After5 B.V. is not responsible for content or behavior occurring on WhatsApp after the connection is made

You may decline to use After5 Alike at any time by simply not opting in to the service.

7B Communication and Service Messages

By creating an account or becoming a member of After5, you consent to receive communications from us via email, WhatsApp, SMS, or other messaging platforms for purposes related to onboarding, account management, service updates, event details, safety notifications, and community participation.

Communication via WhatsApp or SMS is provided for convenience and general updates only. Messages sent through these channels do not constitute formal legal notice or formal data protection requests.

For legal requests, account changes, or privacy-related matters, you must contact us directly by email at hello@after-5.co.

You may opt out of non-essential or promotional communications at any time. Essential service-related communications necessary for your participation in After5 will continue as required to operate the Services.


 


 

8. Community Gatherings, Events, and Group Chats

From time to time, After5 may invite users to participate in community gatherings, meetups, events, or group activities (for example, “shoot days”), which may involve joining a group chat (for example, on WhatsApp or another messaging platform).

Your contact details (such as WhatsApp number or email) will only be shared in this context if you have explicitly agreed to join the relevant event, gathering, or group chat.

By agreeing to join, you consent to:

  • Being added to a group chat where applicable
  • Having your contact details visible to other participants in that group chat
  • Being contacted regarding the event, gathering, or community activity

You are free to decline any such invitation without penalty or restriction on your general use of the App.


 


 

9. Chat Monitoring and Safety Oversight

You acknowledge and agree that communications within After5 — including private chats between users — may be monitored, reviewed, or analyzed by After5 B.V. and its authorized service providers.

This monitoring is conducted for purposes of:

  • User safety and protection
  • Prevention of harassment, threats, or harmful behavior
  • Detection of discriminatory, abusive, or hateful content
  • Enforcement of community guidelines
  • Prevention of illegal activity
  • Platform integrity and trust
  • Compliance with applicable EU and UK laws

Monitoring may be automated (via AI or moderation tools) and, where necessary, reviewed by human moderators. This does not mean that all chats are continuously read by staff, but that they may be accessed when flagged or deemed necessary for safety or compliance reasons.

By using After5, you consent to this monitoring as a condition of using the platform.

 


 

10. Sharing With Third Parties (No Selling of Data)

After5 B.V. does not sell your personal data to third parties.

However, your data may be shared with trusted service providers who assist in operating the App, including:

  • Analytics providers
  • Cloud hosting services
  • AI tools used for moderation and safety
  • Security and fraud prevention services
  • Technical infrastructure providers

All such partners are required to comply with EU GDPR and UK GDPR standards and may only use your data for purposes approved by After5 B.V.

You also retain the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority in the EU or UK.

PLATFORM USE, SAFETY, PAYMENTS & COMMUNITY RULES

12A. Community Conduct and Acceptable Use

After5 is intended to create a respectful and safe environment for social connection. You agree to behave in good faith toward other users and the After5 team.

You must not:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against other users
  • repeatedly contact a person after they decline interaction
  • impersonate another individual or misrepresent identity
  • request money, financial assistance, investments, or gifts from other users
  • promote commercial services, recruiting, or marketing
  • collect, store, or distribute personal data of other users
  • share screenshots or profile information outside the platform without permission
  • record meetings or conversations without consent
  • bring uninvited individuals to arranged meetups
  • use the platform for escorting, professional networking sales, or lead generation
  • bring illegal substances or prohibited items to any meetup or activity
  • disrupt events or negatively affect the experience of participants

We may restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to protect the community.

12B. Community Guidelines

Your use of the Services is also subject to the After5 Community & Safety Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

The Guidelines describe expected behaviour and moderation standards. Violations of the Guidelines may result in warnings, restrictions, suspension, or termination of access to the Services.

In case of conflict, these Terms prevail.


 

13. Nature of Interactions and Meetings

After5 introduces individuals but does not supervise interactions. Once users are connected, they communicate and arrange meetings independently.

You understand that:

  • users are strangers prior to meeting
  • personalities and expectations may differ
  • participation in meetings is voluntary
  • After5 does not control attendance or behavior

After5 is not a host, chaperone, employer, agent, or representative of participants.

 


 

14. Acknowledgement of Inherent Risks

By participating in the Services, you acknowledge that social interactions involve ordinary and foreseeable risks including:

  • misunderstandings or disagreements
  • uncomfortable or unwanted interactions
  • personality incompatibility
  • cancellation or non-attendance
  • inaccurate or misleading profile information
  • emotional disappointment
  • damage or loss of personal belongings
  • injury occurring during voluntary activities or meetings

You voluntarily choose to participate and accept these inherent social risks.

 


 

15. Personal Responsibility and Safety

You remain responsible for your own decisions and safety.

You agree to:

  • use reasonable judgment when meeting others
  • arrange meetings in appropriate public environments where reasonable
  • safeguard belongings and personal information
  • leave situations you consider unsafe
  • report concerning behavior to After5

After5 provides introductions only and does not provide supervision, transportation, or security services.

 


 

16. No Background Checks or Identity Verification

After5 does not conduct criminal background checks and cannot guarantee the identity, honesty, intentions, or behavior of users.

Profiles may contain inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. You are responsible for evaluating whether to interact or meet with others.

 


 

17. After5 Alike Matching

After5 may introduce users to each other through one-on-one matching (“Alike”).

We do not guarantee:

  • a match
  • timing of a match
  • communication response
  • attendance
  • compatibility
  • ongoing friendship

Once introduced, users communicate independently. If users consent to connect via WhatsApp, communication occurs outside the platform and is the responsibility of the participants.

Credits or rematches may be offered at our discretion. Refunds are generally not provided once matching has begun.

 


 

18. Community Events and Activities

After5 may organize gatherings intended to facilitate social interaction. After5 does not supervise participants or control interpersonal behavior.

Participants remain individually responsible for their conduct and decisions during activities.

 


 

19. Release of Claims

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that you are responsible for your participation and release After5 from claims arising from interactions with other users, including claims relating to:

  • disputes between users
  • emotional distress
  • reputational harm
  • property damage
  • injuries occurring during voluntary meetings or events

This applies before, during, and after any interaction initiated through the Services.

 


 

20. Limitation of Liability

After5 provides a social introduction platform only. We do not control user conduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, After5 shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, relational, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services, including outcomes of meetings or friendships formed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited under applicable law.

 


 

21. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold After5 harmless from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • your conduct toward other users
  • violation of these Terms
  • violation of law
  • content you share
  • meetings you attend
  • disputes you create

 


 

22. Payments and Pricing

Prices may be displayed in different currencies depending on your location, browser settings, or payment provider.

The displayed currency is provided for convenience and informational purposes. The final charged amount may be processed in EUR and converted by your payment provider or bank into your local currency.

You are responsible for any exchange rate differences, conversion fees, or bank charges applied by your payment provider.

After5 does not control currency conversion rates and cannot guarantee the exact amount charged in your local currency outside EUR settlement.

Payment must be completed before service delivery unless stated otherwise.

 


 

22A. Taxes (VAT and Local Charges)

Where applicable, prices may include or exclude VAT or other local taxes depending on your location, the nature of the service, and applicable legal requirements.

The final price, including any required taxes, will be shown at checkout before payment confirmation.

If your bank or payment provider applies additional charges (such as foreign transaction fees or currency conversion fees), these are not controlled by After5 and are your responsibility.

 


 

23. Right of Withdrawal (EU/UK Consumers)

Where consumer protection laws provide a statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period), you may withdraw from a digital service or membership within 14 days after purchase only if the service has not yet begun.

By purchasing a membership, booking an activity, or requesting matching that begins within the withdrawal period, you expressly request immediate service performance and acknowledge that your withdrawal right is lost once the service has started.

This includes situations where:

  • you join the platform after payment
  • you gain access to members-only areas
  • matching has started
  • a spot has been reserved for an activity

This does not affect mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

 


 

24. Cancellation and Refunds

Bookings and services follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy which forms part of these Terms.
Generally, all purchases are final. 

Depending on timing and service type:

  • credits may be issued
  • transfers may be allowed within 72h of your booking
  • late cancellations may be non-refundable
  • no-shows are non-refundable

The detailed rules in Sections 44–53 specify the exact conditions and take precedence where applicable.

 


 

25. Moderation and Reporting

Users may report harmful or illegal content to support@after-5.co.

After5 may review, restrict, edit, or remove content or accounts where reasonably necessary to maintain safety, comply with law, or protect the community.

 


 

26. User Content License

By posting content, you grant After5 a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and use content within the Services and for reasonable promotional purposes relating to the platform. Ownership remains yours.

 


 

27. Service Availability

Services are provided “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful matches, or social outcomes.

 


 

28. Third-Party Services

After5 is not responsible for third-party platforms such as WhatsApp or external websites.

 


 

29. Force Majeure

After5 is not responsible for cancellations or changes caused by circumstances outside our control including venue closures, weather, strikes, transportation disruption, or governmental restrictions.

PLATFORM LEGAL PROTECTIONS

35. Platform Legal Protections

35.1 No Duty to Screen or Investigate Users

After5 may, but has no obligation to, monitor, screen, verify, investigate, or moderate users, communications, or behavior.

We do not guarantee that any user complies with these Terms.
Failure by After5 to monitor, review, remove, or act upon any conduct does not constitute acceptance, approval, or responsibility for such conduct.

 


 

35.2 No Endorsement or Recommendation

Matches, suggestions, visibility ranking, or introductions provided by the platform are based on system functionality and user input.

They do not constitute:

  • endorsement
  • recommendation
  • certification
  • background approval
  • compatibility assessment

Users must make their own independent decisions about whether to interact or meet.

 


 

35.3 Non-Reliance on User Information

You acknowledge that user profiles, messages, and statements may be inaccurate, incomplete, exaggerated, outdated, or misleading.

You agree not to rely on any user information as a verified statement of fact and accept full responsibility for evaluating other users.

 


 

35.4 Offline Conduct

After users connect, any interaction occurring outside the platform — including meetings, communications, or relationships — occurs solely between the participants.

After5 is not responsible for actions occurring outside the digital platform, even if the introduction originated through the Services.

 


 

35.5 Repeated or Prior Misconduct

Reports, complaints, or prior moderation actions concerning a user do not create an obligation for After5 to prevent future behavior, nor do they create liability for future acts of that user.

 


 

35.6 Account Suspension and Termination

After5 may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, operational reasons, or violation of these Terms.

Termination may occur without providing a detailed explanation.

Where termination results from misuse or violation of these Terms, access to paid features may be revoked without refund to the extent permitted by law.

 


 

35.7 Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If a payment dispute, chargeback, or reversal is initiated through a bank or payment provider, After5 may suspend or terminate the associated account.

You remain responsible for outstanding fees and any unpaid amounts lawfully owed for services already provided.

 


 

35.8 No Agency Relationship

No partnership, employment, agency, or joint venture relationship is created between After5 and any user.

Users act solely on their own behalf and are not representatives of After5.

 


 

35.9 Platform Reputation and Misuse

You agree not to misuse the Services to harm the reputation of the platform, its staff, or its users through knowingly false statements, impersonation, or malicious reporting.

This clause does not limit lawful consumer complaints or legal rights.

 


 

35.10 Survival of Terms

The following sections continue to apply after account deletion or termination:

  • liability limitations
  • releases
  • indemnification
  • payment obligations
  • dispute and governing law provisions
  • platform legal protections

Termination of your account does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICE TERMS

36. Membership as a Separate Service

After5 offers different types of services, including subscription-based memberships and individual one-off activities or purchases. A membership is a distinct service and is not required to use all features of the platform.

Purchasing a membership does not automatically include access to all events, activities, or services unless explicitly stated at the time of booking.

 


 

37. Personal Use

Memberships are personal and non-transferable. They may not be shared, resold, assigned, or used by another individual.

 


 

38. Active Status Requirement

Membership benefits apply only while the subscription is active. If the subscription expires, is cancelled, or becomes inactive, access to membership features ends immediately.

 


 

39. Event Access and Eligibility

Some activities require an active membership both at the time of booking and at the time the activity takes place.

If your membership is inactive at the time of the activity, your participation may be cancelled or adjusted to a non-member booking where applicable.

 


 

40. Renewal and Cancellation

Memberships renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancelling a membership prevents future renewal but does not retroactively refund the current billing period. Access continues until the end of the paid subscription period unless the account is terminated for violation of these Terms.

 


 

41. Expiry of Benefits

Membership benefits do not roll over between billing periods. Unused benefits expire at the end of the active subscription period.

 


 

42. Relationship With One-Off Purchases

One-off bookings, matching services, and individual activities remain governed by their own conditions and are not converted into membership benefits unless explicitly stated.

 


 

43. Relationship With Other Policies

Practical details may be described on the Membership page. In case of conflict, these Terms prevail.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND TERMS

44. General Refund Principle

Unless explicitly required by applicable law, purchases made through After5 are non-refundable once a seat, activity, or matching service has been reserved or initiated.

Credits, transfers, or alternative arrangements may be offered in specific circumstances as described below, but refunds are generally not provided.

 


 

45. Cancellation Deadlines

If you cancel at least 72 hours before a booked activity:

  • you may receive a voucher (credit) for the booking value, or
  • you may transfer your booking to another available date
  • Refunds are not provided.
  • If you cancel within 72 hours before the activity:
  • the booking cannot be transferred
  • no credit will be issued
  • no refund will be provided

 


 

46. Transfer Policy

A reservation may be transferred once to another available date if requested at least 72 hours before the scheduled activity.

After a transfer has been used, further changes cannot be made.

Transfer requests made within 72 hours of the activity cannot be accepted.

 


 

47. No-Show Policy

Failure to attend an activity or cancelling after the applicable deadline counts as a no-show.

Repeated no-shows may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on platform participation.

 


 

48. Operational Timing

Activities are organized in small groups and require advance preparation. Deadlines exist to allow seat allocation and group balance.

For this reason, exceptions cannot be guaranteed, including for illness or unexpected events, except where required by law.

 


 

49. Third-Party Venue Disclaimer

Restaurants, venues, and partners operate independently from After5.

Delays, service issues, or operational decisions made by the venue are outside our control. After5 may assist where possible but cannot guarantee resolution or compensation.

 


 

50. Personal Responsibility During Activities

Participants remain responsible for their own belongings, health, and conduct during activities.

After5 is not responsible for loss of belongings, disturbances, or incidents occurring outside its direct organizational control.

 


 

51. Food and Allergy Responsibility

Participants are responsible for communicating allergies or dietary requirements directly to the venue and confirming ingredients before consumption.

 


 

52. Ticket Use and Transfers

Bookings may only be used by the original participant unless explicitly permitted by After5.

Unauthorized resale or transfer may result in cancellation without compensation.

 


 

53. Continuation of Interaction

After5 is not responsible for interactions, communication, or activities that continue during or after meetings arranged through the platform.

Participation occurs at your own risk.


LEGAL CLOSING PROVISIONS

54. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands.

 


 

55. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective upon publication on the website or application. Continued use of the Services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

 


 

56. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

 


 

57. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and After5 regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings.
