Rotterdam is always so special to us - since After5 was born here! Also, we notice that the coffee itself in Rotterdam is pretty tasty, where we have a bunch of talented local coffee breweries around the city.
We love discovering the delicious coffee spots in Rotterdam and start a day with oat cappuccino or cortado! Either going alone to start a day with our favorite book or with reading local newspapers, meeting with our friends for a brunch or a coffee, or working from during a busy week- these are our 10 favorite cafes in Rotterdam:
1. Kula
The upcoming area of Coolhaven is pretty cool - new cafes, restaurants walking routes next to the water are refreshing to be in. During summer people also swim here too! Our favorite cafe around this neighborhood is Kula, which is pretty laid-back, full of plants and soft colors.They have a pretty diverse brunch and drinks menu where you can eat healthy food and try their homemade lemonades.
Tip: They have a yoga studio upstairs, you can also book your class beforehand and combine your coffee visit with a zen moment!

2. Parqiet
Summer is coming - and Parqiet will become one of the best hotspots of the city! Parqiet has a great terrace with lounge chairs on the grasses of Het Park! Where you can start your day with their breakfast which is prepared with Jordy’s breads with a man met brill koffie, or you can visit here during the afternoon to drink a glass of wine with some snacks!
Tip: When the weather is better, it’s great to come to the place during weekdays for lunch and stay after a bit! You can also work with your PC here too.

3. Espressobar Kopi Soesoe
Katendrecht is one of the upcoming neighborhoods of Rotterdam, and Kopi is one of hidden gems in the area. Deliplein is a cute quarter with several cafes, restaurants and bars - that gets crowded during the sunny days because of their cute and colorful terraces. Enjoy your coffee with a artichoke sandwich at Kopi!
Tip: After your visit, you can go to Fenix Food Factory by walking to chill next to the water while having some drinks!

4. Giraffe Coffee Bar & Academy
If you are in the city and want to sit somewhere to have a tasty coffee while working - Giraffe is an ideal place! Giraffe is one of the best coffee breweries from Rotterdam and they have a coffee spot & bike clothing store at Hoogstraat - at the same place.
Tip: Downstairs, they also have a coffee academy, if you are interested you can check their courses online.

5. Harvest Coffee Bar & Bakery
Are you crawling for a croissant, cinnamon bun or other pastry? Harvest might be the place that you are looking for! The place has amazing variety of pastry, and the vibe of you are visiting a cafe in Australia! Best part? they are also next to the water and pretty close to the center!
Tip: The place gets full so quick, to prevent waiting at the queue, visit the place early in the morning! If the weather is good, you can sit their terrace which is next to the water!

6. Cafecito
They serve one of the tastiest coffees in Rotterdam! Cafecito is not a place to have a breakfast or lunch - however, they have a variety of desserts - the one with tahini is my favorite! The place has a small outdoor sitting - however, it’s on Meent, so perfect place to have your coffee as take-away!
Tip: If you are looking for coffee accessories, they have different kind of products here.

7. Man met Bril
This is maybe one of the most famous coffee shop of Rotterdam but they definitely deserve it! We love Rotterdam North, and Man Met Bril definitely one of the must-go places if you are in the area. They have their own brewery itself and you can find their beans around the other coffees - also, they serve yummy food!
Tip: It’s a great location to organize a co-working day with your friends!

8. Regina
We love the vibe and energy of Regina a lot. They are effortelesy cool, down to nature, natural - all at the same time. They have their own bakery full of tasty products - as well as refreshing homemade lemonades!
Tip: Regina is a women-owned business and If you want to stay longer, they also have really good natural wines!

9. Heilige Boontjes
Another local gem of Rotterdam is Heilige Boontjes. They serve the coffee from their own brewery and it’s delicious! The place is perfect for breakfast as well as lunch. Since it’s pretty at the center, after your visit you can walk along to Niuew Binenweg. Also, this building used to be a police station before!
Tip: They have a separate coworking area where you can continue staying while working.

10. Urban Espresso Bar
One of the best coffee spots at the West of Rotterdam! Urban Esperesso Bar has a local feeling where you can see most of the guests live in the neighboorhood! Their coffee is pretty tasty and they have a good variety of food. Also, they have a nice terrace if the weather is sunny!
Tip: After your visit, you can walk to Delfshaven to have a refreshing walking tour!
