After5 Community & Safety Guidelines

After5 Community & Safety Guidelines

After5 aims to create meaningful real-life friendships in a comfortable and respectful environment.

To make this possible, members are accountable for both their online and offline behavior.

These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) form part of the After5 Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). They describe acceptable behavior, moderation actions, and reporting procedures. If there is any conflict, the Terms prevail.

When assessing reports, protecting member safety and comfort takes priority. If situations are unclear or difficult to verify, we may still act to prevent potential harm.

These Guidelines apply to all content and behavior on the platform and during After5 activities, including interactions outside the app that originate from the platform.

Violations are divided into three levels:

  • Basic Etiquette (minor)
  • Standard Requirements (moderate)
  • Zero-Tolerance Rules (serious)

Behavior not explicitly listed may still lead to action if it violates the spirit of the community or affects member safety.

1. Basic Etiquette

1.1 Authentic Profiles

Profiles must represent you clearly and genuinely.

Do not:

  • impersonate another person
  • use misleading information
  • use heavily altered or deceptive images
  • create profiles intended as jokes or experiments

You must have at least one clear photo showing your face.

1.2 Appropriate Profile Content

Avoid disturbing or inappropriate profile media.

Not allowed:

  • explicit sexual content
  • graphic injury or disturbing imagery
  • offensive symbols or messaging
  • content intended to provoke or upset others

1.3 Respectful Interaction

Be polite and socially considerate.

Expected behavior:

  • greet the group
  • include quieter members
  • respect different opinions
  • avoid dominating conversation
  • allow others to leave early without pressure

1.4 Reliability

Commitments matter in small groups.

Members should:

  • attend booked gatherings
  • cancel on known time
  • communicate delays

Repeated unreliability may lead to restrictions.

2. Standard Requirements

2.1 Honesty and Intent

Do not mislead members about your intentions, identity, or situation.

After5 is a friendship-first platform.
Organic networking and professional connections may happen naturally — however, the primary intent of participation must not be commercial or transactional.

Not allowed:

  • using After5 primarily to sell services
  • recruiting members for business, MLM, or sales purposes
  • collecting contact details for commercial outreach
  • conducting research or observation without disclosure
  • disguising commercial intent as friendship

Friendships may lead to collaboration — but commercial intent must never be the starting point.

2.2 Respect Boundaries

You must immediately respect a refusal.

Not allowed:

  • pressuring contact exchange
  • insisting on meeting again
  • repeated messaging after no reply
  • contacting users through external platforms without consent

2.3 Privacy

Protect other members’ privacy.

Do not:

  • share screenshots
  • record conversations
  • post others without permission
  • disclose personal details

2.4 Appropriate Communication

Communication must remain considerate.

Not allowed:

  • hostile or confrontational tone
  • insulting or humiliating comments
  • repeated negative targeting
  • messaging that causes discomfort

2.5 Commercial & Promotional Activity

After5 is not a marketing channel.

Prohibited:

  • selling products or services during gatherings
  • recruiting for business schemes
  • unsolicited promotional messages
  • distributing marketing materials

2.6 Respect During Gatherings

During events you must:

  • respect venue staff
  • follow venue rules
  • remain socially appropriate
  • avoid excessive intoxication affecting others

3. Zero-Tolerance Rules

Immediate removal may occur for:

3.1 Harassment & Safety Violations

  • unwanted physical contact
  • sexual comments or advances
  • intimidation or threats
  • stalking behavior
  • repeated contact after refusal

3.2 Discrimination & Hate

No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or hate speech — online or offline.

3.3 Misrepresentation & Fraud

  • fake identity
  • scams or financial requests
  • impersonation
  • deceptive behavior toward members

3.4 Dangerous or Illegal Behavior

  • illegal substances at gatherings
  • violent behavior
  • endangering participants
  • encouraging harmful acts

3.5 Community Abuse

  • deliberately excluding a participant
  • creating hostile group environments
  • organizing harassment
  • malicious reporting

4. Moderation & Enforcement

We review behavior through:

  • profile review
  • reports
  • moderator observation
  • post-event feedback

Possible actions:

Minor violation → guidance or request to adjust
Moderate violation → warning or temporary restriction
Serious violation → permanent removal

Safety concerns may lead to immediate suspension during investigation.

Protecting the community takes priority over continued platform access.

5. Reporting

If something feels uncomfortable or unsafe, report it:

support@after-5.co

Reports are confidential.
We may request additional context to assess the situation.

False reporting may result in restrictions.

6. Appeals

You may contest a decision by contacting support.
We may ask for clarification or evidence where relevant.

Decisions prioritize community safety.

7. Final Note

After5 works because members trust the environment.
These guidelines exist to protect that trust — not to police personalities.

Be kind, be reliable, and respect boundaries.
