After5 Alike (1-on-1 Matching) Guidelines

This page explains how the Alike feature works in practice.

The legally binding conditions are contained in the After5 Terms and Conditions.
Alike is a membership feature and not a separately purchased service. In case of conflict, the Terms and Conditions prevail.

Alike introduces members for a potential one-on-one meetup. It is an introduction feature — not a guaranteed match or meeting.

1. Eligibility

Alike is available only to members with an active subscription.

Each active membership period includes up to one match attempt per month.

Unused match opportunities do not roll over to the next billing period.

2. Matching

We attempt to introduce you to another compatible member during each active subscription month.

Matches depend on availability and compatibility and cannot be guaranteed.

3. If a Match Is Unresponsive

If your match does not reply, please inform us.

A rematch may be provided in a future matching cycle.
We cannot guarantee a rematch within the same cycle.

4. Rematch Requests

A rematch may be considered in cases such as:

  • no response
  • safety concerns
  • inappropriate behavior

Not valid reasons:

  • scheduling difficulty
  • lack of chemistry before meeting
  • slow replies
  • preference changes

Alike encourages real-life connection rather than preference-based selection.

5. Your Responsibility to Respond

To maintain fairness:

If you do not respond within 72 hours, your match may be cancelled.
Repeated unresponsiveness may limit access to Alike.

6. Communication Channels & WhatsApp Consent

After a match is created, communication may occur:

  • through the in-app chat, or
  • via WhatsApp connection

By using the membership and the Alike feature, you explicitly consent that After5 may share your WhatsApp number with your matched member for the purpose of enabling communication and arranging a meetup.

This sharing occurs only in the context of the match and is initiated to facilitate the introduction.

7. Meeting Arrangements

After introduction, members arrange the meeting themselves.

After5 does not:

  • schedule meetings
  • supervise communication
  • mediate logistics

8. Safety

Members are responsible for their own decisions.

We recommend:

  • meet in public places
  • inform someone you trust
  • trust your judgment

After5 provides introductions only and is not responsible for interactions before, during, or after meetings.

9. Refunds & Credits

Alike is part of membership access and not a separately refundable service.

No refunds or compensation are provided based on match outcome, responsiveness, or chemistry.
