After5 Alike Policy

Alike is designed to help you connect with another member for a meaningful 1-on-1 meet-up. To keep the experience smooth, fair, and consistent, please review the guidelines below.

 

 

1. Match Timeframe

We aim to match you within 2 weeks of your Alike request.
 Timing may vary based on availability and match compatibility.

If no match is available within 2 weeks, you will:

  • Stay in the next matching cycle with priority, or
  • Receive After5 credit/voucher to use toward Alike or any other After5 service.

Refunds are not offered.

 

 

2. If No Suitable Match Is Available

In rare cases where multiple cycles pass without a match:

  • You will automatically be included in upcoming cycles, or
  • You may choose to receive an After5 credit/voucher to use toward any After5 product or service.

 

 

3. If Your Match Is Unresponsive

If your Alike does not reply within:

  • 72 hours → we send a reminder
  • 7 days → you may request a rematch

 

 

4. When You Can Request a Rematch

You may request one rematch per Alike cycle under the following conditions:

Valid Reasons for a Rematch

  1. Your match is unresponsive (no reply within 7 days)
  2. A safety concern arises, such as:
    1. Harassment
    2. Inappropriate or threatening behavior

    3. Any interaction that makes you feel unsafe meeting.


Not Valid Reasons for a Rematch

  • Difficulty coordinating schedules
  • Lack of chemistry or “not feeling it” prior to meeting
  • Slow replies (but not unresponsive)
  • Personal preference changes

We want Alike to encourage real, organic connections — not optimized preference-based matching.

 

 

5. If You Are Unresponsive

To maintain fairness:

  • If you do not reply to your Alike within 72 hours, your match may be cancelled.
  • Repeated unresponsiveness may limit your ability to use Alike in the future.

 

 

6. Meeting Arrangements

Once matched, both participants are responsible for:

  • Choosing a meeting time and place
  • Communicating clearly
  • Ensuring personal safety

After5 does not arrange logistics or mediate communication between matched users.

 

 

7. Safety & Responsibility

Alike introduces you to someone — what happens next is up to you.

  • Always meet in public spaces
  • Trust your intuition
  • You are fully responsible for your own safety and decisions

After5 is not liable for any interactions, communication, or meet-ups before, during, or after your Alike meeting.

 

 

8. Refunds & Credits

  • No refunds are issued for Alike
  • In cases where matching is not possible or a match fails for valid reasons, you may receive an After5 credit/voucher
  • Credits may be used for any After5 service or product

 

 

10. Policy Coverage

This Alike policy applies to all 1-on-1 matching services offered through After5.
