connection doesn’t come automatically - it has to be created.
Jenifer (35) is an Account Executive working remotely for a software company in the events sector. Originally from Germany, her professional life is flexible by design — but personally, it has been marked by constant change.
Having moved almost a dozen times and lived in several cities across Germany and France, she knows the excitement of new beginnings just as well as the quiet difficulty that comes with them. Starting over repeatedly has taught her one thing clearly: connection doesn’t come automatically — it has to be created.
That understanding led her to After5, at a moment when expanding her circle felt both necessary and intentional.
“After5 allowed me to broaden my circle and meet amazing, inspiring women with all types of different backgrounds.”
When Conversation Turns Into Connection
One of Jenifer’s most meaningful After5 experiences began at a Drinks table in May. What started as a simple meet-up quickly transformed into something more — four hours of conversation that passed effortlessly, as if everyone around the table had known each other for years.
There was no pressure, no small talk. Just ease, curiosity, and shared stories.
“Time just flew by incredibly fast.”
That sense of familiarity became the foundation for something lasting.
Friendship That Keeps Showing Up
Since that first meeting, the group has continued to meet every month — despite not living in the same city. Together, they’ve explored brunch spots, visited a rooftop bar, celebrated a birthday, and most recently wandered through Cologne’s Christmas markets, marking the start of the festive season side by side.
Their friendship isn’t defined by proximity, but by intention. It’s built through consistency, effort, and the choice to keep showing up.
A Year of Growth, Inside and Out
This year, Jenifer is focused on growth in all its forms. Professionally, she wants to continue evolving and challenging herself. Personally, she’s prioritising time with loved ones and investing in her physical well-being.
She’s currently getting back into Pilates and considering starting Calisthenics — drawn to strength that feels sustainable and empowering.
Growth, for her, is about balance rather than extremes.
Why After5 Matters
Jenifer knows how hard it can be to meet new people, especially after multiple moves. She also knows how transformative it is to find friends who support, inspire, and encourage personal growth.
That belief is why she wants to help spread the word as an After5 Ambassador. Friendship, to her, is not just social — it’s essential to well-being, opportunity, and confidence.
Her After5 friendship story is still unfolding, but its foundation is already strong: shared time, genuine connection, and the feeling of having found people who make even unfamiliar places feel like home.
